Motorola Droid Bionic news doesn’t excite anymore with daily bombardment of leaked images and launch date. Now, it seems the manufacturer has finally decided to end the long rumor episode by releasing the phone to the customers on August 26th.
The news first published on the Android Central suggests that the Droid Bionic is almost ready for the release and will cost $587 without a contract. The screenshot given above shows the price of the new Droid Bionic which obviously is not subsidized. The expected cost of Droid Bionic after rebate from the carrier will likely fall under $300 mark. According to the reports published on the Android blog site the shipments of the new Droid the Verizon stores are already in the process and the phone with 4.3-inch display, 8MP camera powered by a TI’s OMAP4 processor is priced smartly.
In the image above you can clearly notice the SKU on the left, which indicates that the phones are real Droid Bionic, aka the XT875. Now, as for the day of availability, things are still not official but again, a source which has revealed the arrival day as August 26th.
Motorola before going under the belly of the Google has suffered some huge losses in the mobile business despite successful products like Droid and Xoom.
